NSC marathon runners: fundraising for NSC and disability project in Nicaragua
NSC News | Friday, 11 April 2014 |
Our best wishes y suerte to our marathon runners Adrian, Alex, Barnaby, Helen, Jason,Liam and Rafe joining the tens of thousands on the streets of London this Sunday. They will be running to raise funds for NSC's work promoting solidarity with Nicaragua in the UK, and to support the Dos Pueblos adaptive design project in Tipitapa, Nicaragua. The project aims to integrate children and adults with special needs into the community by using adaptive equipment made out of cardboard, a readily available and affordable material, to act as a rehabilitation tool that can help with support, strength, or assist with an everyday task which is otherwise hard for someone with a certain condition to take on.
